Patti Wiehrs
MOORE,
Patti Elizabeth Wiehrs, of Tampa, passed away April 16, 2014. Born April
11, 1936, she is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James (Jim)
M. Moore; her son, James M. Moore, Jr. (Marilyn); daughter K. Brooks Jones
(Chris); granddaughters Stephanie Ann Jones and Jordan Alexis Jones; brother
Charles F. Wiehrs (Joanie); sister-in-law Joanne Moore Baldy (Lacy); nieces,
nephews and many cherished friends. She was predeceased by her parents,

F. and Dorothy M. Wiehrs and granddaughter Jessica Elizabeth Jones. Patti
was a devoted grandmother affectingly known as "Mimi". Born
in Savannah, Georgia but raised in Tampa, she graduated from Plant High
School, attended the University of Georgia her freshman year, then graduated
from Florida State University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
With her degree in education, she was an Elementary School teacher who
was gifted in arts and crafts. She was also a fashion designer and model,
a former member of Tampa Junior Women's Club, and a member of Tampa Yacht
and Country Club. She was a Yachtswoman, world traveler, and an avid tennis
player, while throughout her life she quietly gave back to the community.
A memorial service will be at 1pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at St. Andrews
Episcopal Church, 501 North Marion Street, Tampa, FL with a reception
to follow at the Tampa Yacht and Country Club, 5320 Interbay Blvd, Tampa,
FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal
