RIchard Williers

"Dick" of Tampa, passed away peacefully at home June 16, 2018 at the age of 81. Dick, a loving husband and father, is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dianne Williers; children, Paula Burgen, Ashley Williers-LeDoux, Bradley Williers, Corey Caltagirone, Allison Ciampa (Anthony); grandchildren, Arabella and Alexei; and very close friends and family. Predeceased by his father, A.R. Williers Sr.; and mother, Esther Kushmer Fritz. Raised in Tampa, he attended Plant High School and graduated from Gordon Military Academy in Barnesville, Georgia. Dick's professional career included serving in the United States Air Force and owning and operating Williers Electric Company in South Tampa for over 40 years. Dick had fond memories of growing up exploring and fishing along the waterways around Ruskin and Gibsonton. He enjoyed boating, weekends at his home on Palm Island, meeting good friends for coffee every morning, working in his yard and spending time at his cabin in the North Georgia Mountains with family, friends and his canine pals, Dunkin and Sampson. Dick's greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his generous heart and great sense of humor.
